sqprint homepage
The sqprint program is a PERL 4 script for printing ASCII text files
on an HP laserjet printer using HP PCL. PCL is the printer
control language that predated postscript. It is significantly
faster to render but correspondingly difficult to generate.
I have used this program on a HP LaserJet series II printer.
It only requires PERL and a few modifications to /etc/printcap
to integrate seamlessly into your setup.
You may also wish to investigate ghostscript and psnup.
Briefly I considered expanding tabs properly, but I decided that
PERL was not the right tool for this. Consequently, that will have
to wait for the C version (which should be faster & leaner anyway).
